Main Staging Area:
The main staging area is comprised of the transition area (where the bikes are staged while the kids are swimming and running) and the race finish line. The main staging is located in the rear of the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville. Awards and post-race celebration will also be in this area.
Race staff and support will direct participants from the pool area to a secure bike transition / staging area. Please note there will be NO parents allowed in this secure area to reduce congestion. The transition area will be organized by participant race number. Experienced support staff will match racers with their assigned location to assist them in finding and returning their bikes to the proper area before they take off on the final segment, the run.
Lucas Orthodontic Swim Course:
Our Lucas Orthodontic Swim Course takes place at the outdoor pool at the Nolensville Recreation Complex. LOTS of space for all kids and their fans to watch the action. The swim is conducted as a time-trial start based on assigned race numbers, with lower numbers starting first. Racers will start in ascending numbers about every 5 seconds. The pool is a 25 yard outdoor pool. We will begin with the 5-7 year old age group, followed by the 8-11 year age group, and finishing with the 12-15 age group.
The 5-7 year old racers will complete 50 yards (two lengths of the pool), 8-11 year old racers will complete 100 yards (4 lengths of the pool), and the 12-15 year old racers will complete 150 yards (six lengths of the pool). After completing the swim course, racers will head to their bikes in the transition area.
The bike course for ages 5-11 is 2.5 miles, and ages 12-15 is 5 miles (2 loops). The course is entirely closed to traffic and will be policed by local law enforcement and experienced support staff.
12-15 year olds (2 loops):
The course for ages 5-11 is .7 miles and an out-and-back on Johnson Industrial Blvd. The course is entirely closed to vehicular traffic and policed by local law enforcement and experienced support staff. The course for ages 12-15 is 1.5 miles. The run will head down Johnson Industrial Blvd., and with an off-road cut-through, will take a lap around the ball fields. Course is 100% flat!
